This hanging scroll features an original Hasegawa design, depicting Kishimojin, the side Buddha of the Nichiren sect. Kishimojin is the goddess of safe childbirth and child-rearing, and is usually hung on the left side of the upper shelf of the Buddhist altar. *The left and right sides may be reversed. The vivid silkscreened main paper (image portion) is hand-mounted with multiple layers of fabric to create a professional mounting.
