Description (957 characters)
This hanging scroll depicts Saint Shinran, a side Buddha of the Jodo Shinshu Honganji sect. Saint Shinran is the founder of the Jodo Shinshu sect, and is usually enshrined on the right side of the upper shelf of the Buddhist altar. The subdued, chic image and mounting blend in with any altar design. It offers a unique charm that is different from hanging scrolls with more ornate mountings. Manufactured in Gifu Prefecture, a region famous for its hanging scrolls. *Hanging scroll stand sold separately* [Material] Paper; Country of Origin: Japan [Product Dimensions] Height (excluding upper string): 27.3 cm; Width of shaft tip (lower rod): 12.4 cm; Width of hanging scroll: 10 cm [Handling Precautions/Care Instructions] Gently dust off with a soft-bristled brush or a soft, dry cloth. Using a wet cloth may cause discoloration in moist areas. Also, please handle with care, avoiding folding or rolling the scroll (this will leave creases and wrinkles).
