This set includes a hanging scroll of a Shingon Buddhist side Buddha and a hanging scroll stand. Kobo Daishi (right) is the founder of Shingon Buddhism (Kukai), and is usually hung on the right side of the upper shelf of the Buddhist altar. Acala (left) is a Buddha who serves as a messenger of Dainichi Nyorai, and is usually hung on the left side of the upper shelf of the altar. The vibrant silkscreen paper (image portion) is professionally mounted by hand with multiple layers of fabric.
