Shinran Shonin (right), the founder of Jodo Shinshu, is usually hung on the right side of the top shelf of the Buddhist altar. Rennyo Shonin (left), the founder of the Jodo Shinshu sect who spread it throughout the country, is usually hung on the left side of the top shelf of the Buddhist altar.
