This set includes hanging scrolls of the Rinzai sect's principal image and supporting Buddhas, along with a hanging scroll stand. The principal image, Shaka Nyorai, is usually enshrined in the center of the top shelf of the altar. Manjusri Bodhisattva (right), the Buddha of wisdom (two heads together make one), is enshrined on the right side of the top shelf of the altar. Samantabhadra Bodhisattva (left), the Buddha of intellect and compassion, is enshrined on the left side of the top shelf of the altar. The vibrant silkscreen paper (the image portion) is professionally mounted by hand, with multiple layers of paper affixed to it.
