This set includes hanging scrolls of the Jodo sect's principal image and side image, along with a hanging scroll stand. The principal image, Amida Nyorai (Boat-Standing Amida), is usually hung in the center of the top shelf of the altar. Master Zendo (right), a Chinese monk who preached the teachings that form the foundation of the Jodo sect, is usually hung on the right side of the top shelf of the altar. Honen Shonin (left), the founder of the Jodo sect, is usually hung on the left side of the top shelf of the altar. The vibrant silkscreened paper (image portion) is professionally mounted by hand, with multiple layers of fabric applied.
