This seated statue of Amida Buddha is primarily worshipped as the principal image of the Tendai sect. The principal image is the Buddha idealized by each sect, and the statue was created as a physical manifestation of Buddhist teachings. While some machines are used in the production of Buddhist statues, most are handcrafted by artisans. As a result, each statue is unique.
