Dust- and weather-resistant body ideal for outdoor use: The compact, portable body features a dust- and weather-resistant construction with 100 sealing points and cold-resistant performance that guarantees operation down to -10°C. It can be used safely in harsh environments, such as rain, dusty locations, and low temperatures. The grip, rear buttons, and mode dial shape are designed to be comfortable to hold even when wearing gloves, providing excellent operability for comfortable outdoor shooting, including mountain climbing, camping, and sports. In-Body Image Stabilization The camera's built-in SR (Shake Reduction) mechanism effectively compensates for camera shake even in shooting conditions prone to camera shake, such as telephoto shooting, shooting without the flash, or capturing landscapes at dusk. The camera's high-precision gyro sensor provides a 4.5-stop compensation effect, approaching that of higher-end models. Furthermore, when panning, the camera detects shaking in a certain direction and controls the SR unit to ensure optimal shooting without the need for switching operations.
Super-Resolution Technology with Motion Correction: The Pixel Shift Resolution System is a super-resolution technology that combines four images taken by shifting the image sensor unit by one pixel each time into a single image. Unlike conventional Bayer systems, which can only capture one color per pixel, this system captures each RGB color for each pixel, resulting in ultra-high-resolution images with superior detail and color reproduction, surpassing the resolution of standard APS-C sensors. It also features a motion compensation on/off function that detects only moving objects during continuous shooting and reduces image artifacts during image composition, expanding the range of possible uses.
Proprietary Low-Pass Selector Technology: The unique Low-Pass Selector technology achieves moiré reduction similar to that of an optical low-pass filter by micro-driving the image sensor unit with sub-pixel precision during exposure. Unlike optical systems, which have a fixed effect, this groundbreaking technology allows you to turn the effect on/off and select its strength, making it easy to optimize shooting settings for each subject.
