Newly developed approximately 25.2MP lens that achieves high resolution, high speed performance, and on-chip phase detection AF. Back-illuminated CMOS Image Sensor: A newly developed back-illuminated CMOS image sensor with approximately 25.2 effective megapixels. The sensor achieves high-precision on-chip phase-detection AF with a phase-detection sensor, while also achieving a wide dynamic range and fast response. The optical low-pass filter-less design maximizes resolution, delivering precise subject detail. Its pixel count is enhanced while maintaining improved saturation performance, resulting in smooth, rich tonal gradation. The faster readout speed enables faster continuous shooting, suppressing rolling shutter distortion even when shooting moving subjects at high speed with the electronic shutter. ISO sensitivity is now available starting from ISO100, supporting high-resolution video recording, including 5.7K 60p. The high-speed readout performance also enables Cinema4K and 4K 120p high frame rate shooting. Supports V-Log shooting for rich gradation and flexible grading. Equipped with V-Gamut, it enables beautiful image expression with a dynamic range that depicts details from dark to highlight areas, rich gradation, and a wide color gamut when shooting in Log. Furthermore, when shooting in V-Log, it is equipped with Log View Assist, which displays the image after applying the LUT in the viewfinder or monitor, allowing you to check the finished look. It also allows you to edit with consistent image quality in post-production when combining with video recorded with a V-Log compatible digital single-lens camera, the LUMIX S series, Panasonic's digital cinema camera VARICAM series, or a V-Log L compatible digital single-lens camera, the LUMIX G series. 13+ stop dynamic range boost for HDR images The L2000 features dynamic range boost, which combines two images, one generated by the image sensor's low ISO circuit for saturation priority and the other generated by the high ISO circuit for low noise, at a blending ratio appropriate for each pixel based on the amount of light. This effectively enriches the dark gradation in RAW data when taking photos. Furthermore, when shooting video, especially in V-Log mode, it achieves 13+ stops of dynamic range, the highest among LUMIX Micro Four Thirds cameras. Despite being a high-resolution Micro Four Thirds camera with a small pixel pitch, it can capture wide-ranging images with minimal blown-out highlights and crushed shadows, even in scenes with large contrasts between indirect indoor light and sunlight outdoors.
