Dust- and splash-proof construction for increased reliability in outdoor environments Designed for use in a variety of outdoor environments, this is the first PENTAX macro lens to feature a dust- and splash-proof (AW All Weather) construction that prevents water droplets and dust from entering the interior. Sealing in six places ensures high weather resistance, and when paired with a PENTAX digital SLR body equipped with a similar dust- and splash-proof construction, it improves durability and reliability in rainy or foggy weather, or in locations where water may splash.
