Released April 2009
*Micro Four Thirds Lens
A wide-angle zoom lens that captures vast natural scenery and produces unique photos with an emphasis on perspective. Mount: Micro Four Thirds Mount; Focal Length: 7-14mm (35mm equivalent: 14-28mm); Maximum Aperture: F4 / [HF007014] HF007014 Released April 2009
This wide-angle zoom lens covers an impressive 114° diagonal angle of view, allowing you to capture vast natural scenery and produce unique photos with an emphasis on perspective. Two aspherical lens elements thoroughly correct distortion. Furthermore, four ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lens elements thoroughly suppress chromatic aberration, which can cause color bleeding and reduced contrast.
The world's smallest size for everyday use. *1 Lens construction: 16 elements in 12 groups. This interchangeable lens combines compact size for easy portability with superior image quality. The shooting range is 25cm from the image plane throughout the entire zoom range. It can also be used to take advantage of perspective when photographing small objects. The aperture system uses a seven-blade circular iris diaphragm. In addition, multi-lens coating reduces the occurrence of ghosting and flare. *1 As of April 24, 2009. As a wide-angle zoom lens for interchangeable lens digital cameras.
MTF chart For lenses that are capable of distortion correction, the horizontal axis of the MTF curve is displayed as the distance from the center, taking correction into account.
