Enhances imaging performance with HD Coating. This lens features our proprietary, high-performance multi-coating HD Coating. Compared to conventional multi-coatings, it offers lower reflection and higher transmittance, reducing ghosting and flare even under challenging lighting conditions such as backlighting, delivering clear images. This further enhances the clarity of the Limited Lens.
Circular aperture for beautiful bokeh. All lenses now feature a circular aperture. This delivers more natural and beautiful bokeh, enhancing the imaging performance unique to the Limited Lens. Following the design concept of the Limited Lens series, which focuses on image quality and texture, the lens is designed not only based on numerical evaluations using test equipment, but also on repeated evaluations of image quality using actual images, with the results fed back into the design, to pursue the flavor of the lens. The exterior features high-quality machined aluminum for the lens barrel, hood, and cap, resulting in a finish that emphasizes the texture of the body. The HD PENTAX-FA 43mm F1.9 Limited also features a new cloisonné-finger point, which, like other Limited lenses, improves the lens's fit on the camera body. Other features: The front of the lens features a dirt-resistant SP (Super Protect) coating. Serial numbers start from 0000001 for black lenses and 1000001 for silver lenses. By leaving the aperture ring intact, you can use all the functions of a K-mount film SLR camera.
