Released in April 2024
The first high-magnification zoom lens in the LUMIX S series, covering a wide range of focal lengths from wide-angle to telephoto. Mount: Leica Camera L-Mount standard. Focal length: 28-200mm. Max aperture: f/4. Filter diameter: 67mm. Dustproof and weatherproof. [SR28200]SR28200 Released in April 2024
Capture a wide range of scenes from wide-angle to telephoto. Achieve half-macro. This is the first high-magnification zoom lens in the LUMIX full-frame lens, covering a wide focal length range from 28mm wide-angle to 200mm telephoto. It's versatile enough for a wide range of shots, from landscapes with a wide angle, to portraits with a bokeh effect using medium-telephoto and telephoto lenses, to compressed depth shots and travel snapshots. Additionally, the lens allows you to get as close as approximately 3cm from the tip of the lens, allowing you to capture a close-up of the subject while highlighting the background, creating impressive shots of even the most ordinary subjects. The world's smallest and lightest* high-magnification zoom lens. Through meticulous design, with attention to detail in both optics and mechanics, we've achieved the world's smallest and lightest* lens, measuring approximately 93.4mm in length and weighing approximately 413g. This compact and lightweight design makes it easy to take with you on trips and enjoy photography. It's also easy to carry this lens and other lenses in a small camera bag. For example, by carrying the S-R1428 with you, you can cover the entire range from ultra-wide-angle (14mm-200mm) to telephoto, expanding your shooting options for any scene. *Among AF-compatible full-frame mirrorless interchangeable lenses with a zoom ratio of 7x or greater. As of February 22, 2024. Research by Panasonic. Achieves fast, precise, and quiet focusing. This lens's focus is driven by a linear motor along a guide axis, driving the frame that holds the focus lens. This configuration combines fast, precise AF performance with quiet operation. Furthermore, communication control between the body and lens has been accelerated, achieving both precision and speed. Furthermore, during video shooting, the quiet drive allows for shooting without worrying about focus drive noise, shortening post-production time.
Optimal video performance for filmmaking. The optical design for high-definition video shooting and an optimized internal structure of the lens barrel suppress breathing, which changes the angle of view as the focus position shifts during focusing during video shooting. Furthermore, even in scenes with large changes in brightness, aperture micro-step control smoothly controls F-stop changes, suppressing sudden exposure changes. It also supports stable exposure control when panning during video shooting. The focus ring can be switched between linear and non-linear settings. The non-linear method shifts the focus by a variable amount in response to the rotation speed of the focus ring, allowing for agile focusing. The linear method shifts the focus by a fixed amount in response to the rotation of the focus ring, and the rotation amount can be adjusted to suit the shooting scene, enabling intuitive and precise focusing similar to that of a mechanical lens. Improved MF ring detection and control methods enable precise focusing even in macro photography, where precise focusing is required.
5-axis body (B.I.S.) and 2-axis lens (O.I.S.) image stabilization delivers 6.5 stops of effective compensation. Despite its compact size and light weight, the camera features Dual I.S.2 image stabilization, which coordinates and controls the camera's in-body image stabilization (B.I.S.) and in-lens image stabilization (O.I.S.) in real time to deliver 6.5 stops of effective compensation. This image stabilization system, which combines 5-axis in-body image stabilization (B.I.S.)—which compensates for vertical/horizontal angular shake (Pitch/Yaw), rotational shake (Roll), and vertical/horizontal translational shake (X/Yaw)—with 2-axis in-lens image stabilization (O.I.S.)—which compensates for vertical/horizontal angular shake (Pitch/Yaw)—links with the 2-axis in-lens image stabilization (O.I.S.) to effectively compensate for camera shake in a variety of shooting situations. Even significant camera shake at telephoto ends, which cannot be corrected by the body's built-in image stabilization (B.I.S.) alone, can be corrected by combining five axes on the body and two axes on the lens. Dust- and Weather-Resistant* Design: The dust- and weather-resistant design* allows for versatile shooting mobility. Capture those rare, unexpected shutter opportunities regardless of the weather, protecting your precious lens from water and dust. The front lens surface is also coated with fluorine, making it less susceptible to dirt buildup and easy to remove. (When mounted on a Panasonic dust- and weather-resistant camera body.) While the lens is designed to be dust- and weather-resistant, it does not completely prevent dust and water from entering. Low-Temperature Design: Designed to withstand temperatures as low as -10°C, the lens is designed to withstand temperatures as low as -10°C, enabling you to capture images in cold environments such as snowy mountains and ski slopes. Capture the beautiful, fantastical world of snow and ice in your next photograph. [Accessories] Lens hood, lens cap, lens rear cap ■ Specifications ■
