This ultra-wide-angle lens (21mm in 35mm format equivalent) is constructed with 10 lenses in 7 groups and 7 circular aperture blades, delivering high resolution from center to edge.
With a minimum focusing distance of approximately 18cm, it is ideal for capturing photos with blurred backgrounds and the perspective unique to ultra-wide-angle lenses.
Ultra-wide-angle lenses are prone to distortion, but this lens's advanced optical design overcomes this by thoroughly suppressing distortion and chromatic aberration without the need for digital correction.
The lens barrel is equipped with a focus ring with distance and depth-of-field indicators. This makes it suitable for a shooting style in which you use the indicators as a guide to focus, such as pre-focusing when photographing fast-moving subjects, and is also suitable for snapshot photography.
Taking advantage of the X mount, a short back focus of 13.3mm has been achieved. This prevents vignetting, ensuring brightness and high resolution all the way to the edges of the image. ■ Specifications ■
