The lens construction of 15 elements in 9 groups, including three aspherical lenses and one ED lens, thoroughly suppresses chromatic aberration and coma. Furthermore, by simultaneously driving six focus groups, aberration fluctuations are suppressed, achieving high resolution from the center to the periphery of the image. The large-aperture lens element and other features enable a bright f/1.4 aperture. Thanks to its high light-gathering power, you can enjoy high-quality photos with reduced camera shake and noise, even in low-light situations like night scenes.
