A wide-angle lens that delivers clear, edge-to-edge resolution even at wide apertures. The optical design, which uses 13 elements in 11 groups, including two aspherical and two ED glass lenses, effectively corrects distortion, chromatic aberration, and other aberrations, ensuring sharp, crisp images even at wide apertures. Despite being a wide-angle lens, the optical system minimizes distortion and eliminates electronic correction, ensuring high resolution all the way to the edges of the frame. The entire lens surface is coated with an HT-EBC coating, boasting high transmittance and optical performance. The back of the G1 lens, which has a high curvature and requires low reflection characteristics for oblique incident light, is coated with a Nano GI coating, providing excellent resistance to flare and ghosting. This is a reliable lens that does not compromise freedom of shooting angle. A minimum focusing distance of 15cm expands the world of wide-angle lens imaging. Closer subjects appear larger, and distant subjects appear smaller. The perspective-rich imagery unique to wide-angle lenses becomes even more dynamic when you get closer. Getting closer also enhances the bokeh effect, adding a new level of photographic expression to large-aperture wide-angle lenses. To effectively correct various aberrations and maintain high image quality even at a minimum focusing distance of 15cm, the lens employs a floating focus system that divides the focus group into two and drives them in tandem according to the focusing distance. This ensures excellent imaging performance throughout the entire focusing range. A rear focusing system is used to achieve high-speed autofocus, with a maximum focusing speed of 0.11 seconds. These focus units are driven by a high-torque DC coreless motor, achieving super-fast focusing times of just 0.11 seconds, making this a must-have lens for snapshots and portraits.
