S PRO Lens 70-200mm Telephoto Zoom Lens: Delivers superior imaging performance across the entire zoom range. Mount: Leica Camera L-Mount Standard. Focal Length: 70-200mm. Maximum Aperture: f/4.0. Filter Diameter: 77mm. Dust- and Weather-Resistant / [SR70200] SR70200 Released March 2019
Uses Leica Camera's L-Mount for the lens mount. The L-Mount's key features, with its large 51.6mm mount diameter and short 20mm flange focal distance, provide a well-balanced combination of lens design flexibility and mount strength.
The lineup includes the high-performance S PRO Lens and the highly mobile S Lens. To meet the demands of full-frame sensors capable of capturing a wealth of information, the lens development team focused on achieving outstanding imaging performance by evolving the optical design developed over many years of Micro Four Thirds lens design. In addition, the lenses pursue striking three-dimensional expression and beautiful bokeh, which are the essence of photographic expression. Even at maximum aperture, they deliver high-resolution images from the center to the periphery, and even more beautiful bokeh, expanding the scope of expression. Furthermore, the latest optical design enables a three-dimensional image that smoothly blurs as the subject moves from the focal plane to the out-of-focus area. They also feature high-speed, high-precision AF, image stabilization (Dual I.S. 2), and video recording capabilities, making this a highly promising lens lineup. The S PRO Lens series emphasizes uncompromising image quality and is planned, designed, developed, and manufactured according to Panasonic's strict lens standards. They are also Certified by LEICA, a certification only available to manufacturers that meet Leica Camera's high quality standards. The S Lens lineup emphasizes mobility and usability. The LUMIX S PRO 70-200mm F4 O.I.S. (S-R70200) is a 70-200mm telephoto zoom lens that delivers excellent imaging performance and beautiful bokeh throughout the entire zoom range. It's a telephoto zoom lens that meets Leica Camera's strict quality standards. To achieve this superior imaging performance, it incorporates one aspherical lens, three ED lens elements, one UED lens element, and one high-refractive-index UHR lens element. The high imaging performance and beautiful bokeh create a striking portrayal of every captured moment. The optical design, which takes into account the dedicated teleconverter, also delivers excellent imaging performance at super-telephoto shooting at up to 400mm. The focus control speed is 480 fps, enabling high-speed, high-precision AF. The lens features a focus clutch mechanism that allows for quick AF/MF switching with a simple slide of the focus ring. When in the MF distance display position, distance scales appear on the lens barrel, enabling precise focusing. Focus adjustments during video recording also reflect the photographer's intentions. The Dual I.S. 2 image stabilization system, which works in conjunction with the S-series in-body image stabilization (B.I.S.), provides approximately six stops of compensation. While boasting a high-quality exterior design, the lens is lightweight thanks to the use of magnesium alloy in parts, ensuring excellent mobility. It is also dustproof, weatherproof, and designed to withstand temperatures as low as -10°C for durability. *When mounted on a Panasonic dustproof and weatherproof full-frame mirrorless camera body. ■ Specifications ■ Lens construction: 23 elements in 17 groups (1 aspherical lens, 1 UED lens, 3 ED lenses, 1 UHR lens) Mount: Leica Camera L-Mount standard compliant Angle of view: W (f=70): 34° - T (f=200): 12° Focal length: 70-200mm Maximum aperture/minimum aperture: F4.0-F22 Aperture type: 9-blade circular iris diaphragm Shooting range: 0.92m - ∞ (from the image plane) Maximum magnification: 0.25x Filter diameter: φ77mm Maximum diameter x length: φ84.4mm x approx. 179mm (from the tip of the lens to the lens mount reference plane) Weight: approx. 985g (excluding lens hood, tripod socket, lens cap, and lens rear cap) □ Manufacturer's warranty period 1 year
