The first 10x optical zoom lens compatible with E-mount 35mm full-frame cameras. This FE lens, the first 10x optical zoom lens, covers a wide range from 24mm wide-angle to 240mm telephoto. The optical design, incorporating five aspherical lenses and one ED glass element, achieves a 24mm wide-angle lens while maintaining a compact size. It effectively corrects various aberrations and delivers high resolution even at the edges of the frame. The focus drive employs a linear motor, enabling fast and quiet operation despite being a high-magnification zoom lens. Furthermore, the optical image stabilization effectively suppresses camera shake, even during telephoto shots or in dimly lit locations. The lens exterior is also dust- and weather-resistant, making it ideal for a variety of photography situations, from travel to sports events. *Although the lens is dust- and weather-resistant, it does not completely protect against dust and water intrusion. This high-magnification zoom lens offers a wide zoom range, from 24mm wide-angle to 240mm telephoto, enabling it to capture a variety of subjects, including landscapes, architecture, and portraits. Shooting at the 24mm wide-angle setting captures majestic scenery more dynamically. Shooting close to the subject at the telephoto setting produces a significant bokeh and compression effect, making it ideal for photographing flowers.
