Significantly improved image quality thanks to the use of special optical materials. Compared to previous models, this lens uses more special optical materials (three high-precision aspherical lenses, one Super UD lens, and two UD lenses). The newly developed optical system, consisting of 18 lenses in 13 groups, has been completely redesigned to improve aberrations around the edges of the image and suppress flare and ghosting, resulting in high resolution and contrast across the entire zoom range and image area. Durability and reliability to withstand the rigors of professional photography. Enhanced durability is achieved through measures such as strengthening the holding element for the zoom extension. The mount, switch panel, zoom ring, focus ring, and zoom ring lock lever are dust- and splash-proof, preventing dust and water from entering.
