This G-mount standard zoom lens covers a focal length equivalent to 25-51mm in 35mm format. Featuring a 14-element design in 11 groups, including three aspherical lenses, including a high-image-quality, large-aperture, high-precision aspherical lens, one ED lens, and one Super ED lens, this zoom lens delivers high image quality comparable to that of a prime lens from wide-angle to standard focal lengths. It delivers excellent resolution from the center to the edges of the frame.
The fast and quiet AF inner focus system uses a lightweight focus lens driven by a linear motor, achieving fast and quiet AF for comfortable shooting.
Dustproof, weatherproof, and low-temperature resistant down to -10°C. Sealed in 10 places, it allows for worry-free shooting even in light rain or dusty outdoor environments.
Highly operable: The aperture ring has a C position (command dial mode), allowing aperture setting using the command dial on the camera body. A locking mechanism has also been added to the A (AUTO) and C positions to prevent the aperture dial from moving accidentally. The mount has an anti-rattle structure to reduce rattle between the camera body and interchangeable lens.
