High-performance optical system: High-quality lanthanum-based high-refractive-index, low-dispersion glass is used. Advanced optical technology provides balanced correction of various aberrations. Taking particular care to correct spherical aberration in the pupil, the lens reduces blackouts from the field of view, resulting in clearer viewing.
Superior transmittance thanks to unique multi-coating. PENTAX's unique multi-coating is used on all lens surfaces that come into contact with the air, and special coatings are applied to the bonded surfaces, achieving transmittance of over 90% across the entire visible light range (approximately 96% at 550nm).
Advanced light-blocking technology: Computer-simulated light-blocking aperture placement ensures optimal positioning, achieving a field of view with even higher contrast.
