Ultra-Wide 102° Field of View
Advanced Aberration Correction
The value of two eyepieces, with the standard Innovative Converter (EiC) included/[NAV17HW]NAV17HW
Ultra-Wide 102° Field of View
The 102° apparent field of view is so overwhelmingly wide that you can barely see the expanse of space before your eyes. You'll experience a dramatic, moving experience that will make you forget you're looking through an eyepiece. Experience the ultra-wide field of view, capturing the entire moon even at 100x magnification.
Advanced aberration correction. This advanced optical design combines a wide field of view with image flatness. It's fully compatible with objective optics up to a bright f/4. Furthermore, field curvature and astigmatism are minimized while maintaining a sharp central image, allowing you to fully experience the benefits of a wide field of view with sharp star images extending to the edges of the field. The standard accessory is the "EiC-H14" eyepiece, a dedicated converter for the NAV-17HW. Simply screw it onto the end of the barrel to increase the focal length to 14mm, improving magnification and effectively correcting aberrations (field curvature and astigmatism). It truly offers the performance of two high-performance eyepieces. It offers a comfortable, ample 102° eye relief while maintaining a long 16mm eye relief. The soft silicone rubber eyecup allows you to get closer to the lens, even when wearing glasses, without compromising the ultra-wide field of view. Stray Light Countermeasures: To minimize harmful stray light during observation, optical simulations were conducted, taking into account even large angles of incidence. Light-blocking apertures, light-blocking lines, and black coatings are used appropriately. The lens surfaces are multi-coated to reduce harmful reflections and improve contrast. Detachable Shade Hood: The shade hood is designed to block external light when observing at high magnifications where close contact with the eyes is not possible, or in parking lots and other locations. It can be removed when not needed. Unlike typical "horn-shaped eyecups," this unique design allows for observation over eyeglasses and is flexible enough to reduce vibration transmission. The rubber strap attached to the telescope barrel features a non-slip knurling and grip end. It is easy to hold even when wet with night dew or wearing gloves in freezing cold. The slim design also makes it easy to maintain eye distance when using two eyepieces side by side for binocular viewing. Eye-catching "Luminous" Mark: The shade hood features a design mark applied with "luminous paint" that stands out beautifully. This allows you to quickly locate the shade hood even at night and helps prevent it from getting lost. Weather-Resistant: The shade hood is equipped with a rubber seal to prevent the intrusion of night dew and other elements. 2-inch size 50.8mm mounting diameter The mounting diameter is the international standard 50.8mm, so it can be used with many astronomical telescopes from various manufacturers. ■ Specifications ■ Eye relief: 16mm Mass (weight): 950g/990g (with EiC-H14) Focal length: 17mm/14mm (with EiC-H14) Number of elements: 10 elements in 7 groups/12 elements in 8 groups (with EiC-H14) Apparent field of view: 102° *1 Field of view diameter: Φ30.1mm/Φ24.6mm (with EiC-H14) Size: Φ64 (61 *2) x 157mm/167mm (with EiC-H14) Mounting size: Φ50.8mm *1 Apparent field of view = value calculated by actual field of view x magnification *2 Value calculated by the outer diameter of the metal telescope barrel with the rubber knurling removed □ Manufacturer's warranty period 1 year
