2-stop light reduction ND4 reduces light intensity by 1/4, or 2 stops of light reduction. The lens is dark enough that you can see through the viewfinder even with a filter attached, making it easy to use.
Highly durable water- and oil-repellent coating The lens features a highly durable water- and oil-repellent coating. It repels water and oil, and fingerprints and other smudges can be easily wiped off. This allows for stress-free shooting near water or in rainy weather, and simplifies daily maintenance.
High-end coating technology for faithful color reproduction. The new "PRO1D ND Coat II" technology provides water- and oil-repellent properties while enabling top-level, stable color reproduction and light reduction. Vacuum deposition technology achieves extremely high neutrality. Suitable for both still images and video, this high-quality coating reduces light without significantly affecting the camera's sensitivity characteristics.
Hard Anodizing: While most filters have an anodized surface on the gold frame, the PRO1D Lotus series uses a hard anodizing process. This creates a thicker oxide layer than standard anodizing, improving surface hardness, abrasion resistance, and durability.
Easy-to-Attach/Remove: The frame features chamfered edges and flat knurled sides. The non-slip design makes it easy to attach, remove, and stack filters.
Smooth Attachment/Removal: The lens mounting threads are lubricated for smooth attachment and removal and reduce jamming. Corrosion-resistant filter glass The retaining spring has been treated with a corrosion-resistant coating to prevent rust. It is safe even if water gets into the spring. High-transmittance optical glass Highly transparent glass is used. Made by melting high-purity raw materials, it has high transmittance over a wide wavelength range from the visible to the infrared. Nano-level processing precision The glass surface is optically polished with high precision to maintain a parallel plane.
