ARCREST II: Close to the original imaging capabilities of your lensThis high-performance protective filter uses an ultra-low-reflection AR coating and achieves high optical performance to closely resemble the original imaging capabilities of your lens. It protects your precious lens while achieving high optical performance that minimizes the impact on images. Nikon's proprietary "Zero One AR Coat" technology achieves an ultra-low reflectivity of approximately 0.1% on one side across the visible light range of 420nm to 680nm. This multi-layer AR coating, "Zero One AR Coat," achieves an ultra-low reflectivity of nearly 0.1% on one side, approaching the design value. This minimizes variations in reflectivity across wavelengths, minimizing color balance and ghosting and flare. This minimizes the degradation of the lens's inherent imaging capabilities, resulting in high-contrast, rich-toned images. Nightscapes and starry skies are virtually unaffected. Superior optical performance achieved through meticulous attention to detail. The same high-quality optical glass used in NIKKOR lenses is used, and precision polishing technology achieves an exceptionally high level of flatness, with less than one interference fringe. Furthermore, Nikon's proprietary "Flat Plane System" mounting technology significantly reduces stress on the glass, minimizing distortion. Building on these advancements, the ARCREST II is designed to achieve a transmitted wavefront accuracy of λ/4 or better across approximately 85% of the filter's effective diameter. As a high-performance protective filter that minimizes the lens's inherent imaging power, every detail has been carefully considered to enhance optical performance.
Effective Anti-Static Coating: The front of the filter is anti-static, reducing static buildup and effectively reducing the adhesion of dust and other debris to the filter. Even if dust does adhere, it can be easily blown away with a blower.
Excellent Water- and Oil-Repellent Coating: The filter features a unique water- and oil-repellent coating developed specifically for the filter. It offers excellent stain resistance, repelling water droplets, oil, fingerprints, and other contaminants, and even if they do adhere, they can be easily wiped away. The water- and oil-repellent coating on both sides of the glass allows you to concentrate on your photography with peace of mind, even in harsh shooting environments. ■ Specifications ■
