[RC M4 Sherman Steering System]
The RC M4 Sherman is equipped with a steering system that operates using essentially the same mechanism as the controlled differential steering system of the real vehicle.

The power of the 540 motor is transmitted to the left and right sprockets via a differential unit mounted at the front of the vehicle.

The left and right tracks rotate at the same speed to move straight, and the difference in rotation creates a turning motion.

Turning is achieved by the steering servo, which brakes one side of the brake discs on both sides of the differential unit.

Braking on the right side will turn right, braking on the left side will turn left.
Furthermore, a pair of planetary gearboxes built into the differential unit function as differential gears, so when one side slows down, the other speeds up.
