- Both are 3-car formations that can be coupled and detached
- Both "Red Stream" and "White Stream" are coupling vehicles (when you pull the lever on the third car, a magnetic coupler appears, allowing you to couple the two cars together and run them)
- Both have two-speed electric running, and can be rolled by hand with the switch turned off.
