The giant bird "Toriuma", which appears in "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" and supports the lives of the people, has been made into a three-
Dimensional figure!
"Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" is an animated film directed by Miyazaki Hayao, who drew the original manga in the monthly Animage magazine.
In the play, after the destruction of civilization in the "Seven Days of Fire", the vast Sea of Decay and desert that appeared, the "Toriuma" became an indispensable means of transportation for people, and Takayuki Takeya arranged it with the concept of a free-standing ornament.
They are birds that have grown so large that they exceed the height of humans, losing their ability to fly, but have developed strong legs that allow them to gallop like horses while carrying humans and cargo, and thus have developed a symbiotic relationship with humans.
He is also highly intelligent, and is particularly fond of the main character, Nausicaa, and there are many scenes depicting them connecting with each other.
In the Takeya style free-standing ornaments, the characteristics of the bird, such as its large, inflated beak, long neck, and developed legs, are captured in three
Dimensions, and arrangements are made to add information as sculptures, such as fine feather details, scales on the legs, claws, ethnic
[Accessories]
, and adorable eyes and tongues.
And with a particular focus on movement as a figurine, the 41 movable parts, their range of movement, and the ability to maintain posture were all carefully considered, resulting in a sculpture that can actually be held in the hands and moved around, reminiscent of scenes from the original manga and animated film.
Enjoy the many memorable scenes from TRIUMA in your hands.
41 movable parts throughout the body
The neck has a joint structure with nine ball joints connected together and is covered with eight separate feather parts, allowing the neck to move freely.
It is possible to create a variety of expressions, such as lifting the head high as if neighing, or stretching the neck out straight when sprinting.
In addition, its large, inflated beak can open and close, and it also has a tongue attached inside.
Each leg has 13 movable points, allowing for a variety of poses.
The three front toes of the toes are fully movable, even moving to the first and second joints, allowing you to recreate a range of poses, from stepping firmly on the ground to powerfully kicking the ground and sprinting.
The body of the Toriuma is fitted with reins, stirrups, a saddle, and gaiters to protect the legs, and each part is made with a different texture.
In addition, it can be combined with the separately sold "Takeya Style Free-standing Figurine - Tormekian Armored Soldier", and by replacing the included waist joint parts, it can also be ridden.
Includes a fan-shaped sword for the Tormekian Armored Cavalry, a special sheath, and a display stand.
