Shimano Colt Sniper: If birds are flying, a "reel" is effective?! If birds are flying nearby, paying attention to the water's surface, or if baitfish are jumping and escaping, there's a high possibility that Spanish mackerel are swimming nearby! In such cases, a slightly faster straight retrieve is recommended! Let the jig sink a little so that it doesn't jump out of the water as easily after landing, and then just reel it in! The Spanish mackerel jig swims with its tail wagging in small increments like a small fish fleeing just below the surface, and the treble hook mounted on the rear is designed to reliably hook any Spanish mackerel that chase it. Imagine a shrimp! You can also entice them with a darting action! When there are no small fish to feed on the water's surface, a darting action that imitates a shrimp, which Spanish mackerel love, is also effective. By continuing to jerk it rhythmically like in eging, the Spanish mackerel jig will dart widely from side to side. If you remove the treble hook on the rear when using it, the darting range will be even wider.
