The E259 series, which appeared in 2009, is a limited express train that began operation in October of the same year as the successor to the 253 series. A renewal was announced in March 2023, and the first train with a new paint scheme was released in May of the same year. All 22 trains are scheduled to have their paint changed by the end of fiscal year 2023. No smoking, reserved seats, and Wi-Fi marks are printed on the train. The antennas on the roof are reproduced with separate parts. Transfer sheet included. New current collection system and black wheels are used. *The model train is powered by the rails.
