The "MR-G" series is the highest-end line of G-SHOCK. The MRG-B5000 is an MR-G model that was created by using carefully selected metal materials and giving a careful finish to the first G-SHOCK model, the DW-5000C.

The complex bezel is made up of 25 parts, which makes it possible to polish each part in detail, resulting in a higher quality finish. In addition, a multi-guard structure is used to increase strength by providing leaf springs and buffers between the bezel parts. The bezel top is made of "COBARION", which is said to be about four times harder than pure titanium and has the same shine as platinum, and the case and bezel are made of 64 titanium, a high-hardness titanium alloy. The comfortable durasoft band made of fluorine rubber is strengthened by inserting titanium parts into the mating part with the case. The surface of the band is textured with a shock-resistant mark, and the back is decorated with the same brick pattern as the dial. The dial inherits the brick pattern and gold-colored circle line, which are the identity of the first model DW-5000C-1B, and the case is finished in black with a DLC coating.

In terms of functionality, it is compatible with smartphones via radio reception and Bluetooth (R) communication functions, making it practical. The module is equipped with an MR-G dedicated module with a gold-plated circuit retainer plate. *COBARION is a registered trademark of the Iwate Industrial Promotion Center, a public interest incorporated foundation, and is manufactured only by EIWA Co., Ltd.
