The bridge of the Ise/Hyuga, which was converted into an aircraft carrier and equipped with No. 21/22 radar, is reproduced in 1/350 scale. The product is an unpainted kit that requires gluing and painting.
The battleship Haruna was built at the Kobe Kawasaki Shipyard as the third Kongo-class ship.
Before the Pacific War, the ship was remodeled twice, and during the war, it was used for a wide range of purposes, from direct protection of aircraft carrier task forces to bombarding enemy territory.
In October 1942, together with Kongo, she bombarded the airfield on Guadalcanal Island, and accompanied the task force in the Battle of the Mariana Islands. In October 1944, she served alongside Yamato and Musashi in the Battle of Leyte Gulf.
After that, it returned to the mainland and was moored off the coast of Etajima/Koyo after the Kure air raid.
In July, the ship was attacked by a carrier-based aircraft during an air raid and crashed on the bottom, remaining there until the end of the war.
This product uses the mold of the existing 1/350 scale aircraft carrier Ise/Hyuga.
You can create a bridge for either the Ise or Hyuga ship.
The product is modeled after Operation Sho-Ichigo in October 1944.
The main bridge parts are molded in a grey colour to resemble the Kure Naval Arsenal colour.
The bridge windows and searchlights are made of clear molded parts.
Comes with a display stand and stickers showing the names of the ships Ise and Hyuga.
The range is reproduced from the top deck to the No. 21 radar at the top, and up to the second turret connected to the shelter deck at the front.
The rear part is reproduced up to the central searchlight tower.
Each floor of the bridge is stacked, and then the supports and ladders are added to assemble it.
The shelter deck features delicate carvings to represent the wooden deck.
The exhaust vents and ammunition boxes on the wooden deck are made into separate parts, reducing the need for separate painting.
The 25mm machine guns located on all four sides of the bridge are unique to the 1/350 scale model, with twin and triple guns made up of four parts and the elevation angle can be adjusted.
The five windows on the compass bridge, lookout command post, combat bridge, observation post, and upper lookout post are reproduced with clear parts.
Each floor is made of sculpted gratings and linoleum holders.
Binocular telescope parts are included to enhance the sense of detail of observation posts and air defense command posts.
There are multiple ladders connecting each layer, all of which are separate parts.
The molded parts are gray (Kure Naval Arsenal color), transparent, and black for the base parts; three colors.
There are two types of stickers included
Includes paper stickers containing signal flags etc.
Comes with a ship name sticker to attach to the display stand after completion
