[Product Introduction]

The No. 21 electric probe on the upper part of the bridge is also finished with delicate carvings. The flight deck traffic zone is represented by a sticker. Comes with an exhibition stand that can be easily fixed to the separately sold display case (Item 73019).
[The legendary giant battleship that symbolizes the Japanese Navy]
The giant battleship "Yamato", which showed the world the height of Japan's shipbuilding technology, was laid down at the Kure Naval Arsenal in November 1930, and was built in 1945. It was completed in December. It has a waterline length of 256m, a maximum width of 38.9m, a displacement of approximately 70,000 tons, and is equipped with nine huge guns with a caliber of 46cm. Its size and armament made it the largest and most powerful in the world at the time. The main gun's 46cm gun had a maximum range of 41km, and had the power to shoot through 43cm thick armor plate at a distance of 30km. On the other hand, in terms of defense, it uses approximately 21,000 tons of defensive armor plate, which is 30% of the standard displacement. High defensive power was achieved by shortening the overall length of the ship and adopting a concentrated defense system that concentrated important parts such as the bridge, turret, and engine parts in the center. Furthermore, the most distinctive underwater shape is the bulbous bow at the bow. The spherical bow that juts out 3m forward, combined with other bows, reduces wave-making resistance. It has a ship shape with excellent propulsion efficiency. These techniques have been passed down as a legacy to Japan's postwar shipbuilding industry. Yamato participated in the Battles of Midway and Leyte Gulf, and dominated the Pacific Ocean, but on April 7, 1945, more than 300 U.S. Navy planes were on their way to Okinawa as part of a maritime kamikaze unit under Operation Tenichi-go (Operation Kikusui). It was attacked by a ship and finally sank into the sea. This is a plastic model assembly kit of the Japanese Navy battleship "Yamato", which was the world's largest and strongest during World War II. Scale 1/350. It is a big size with a total length of 751.5 mm and a total width of 110 mm, and is well made. The integrally molded hull is realistically modeled with a unique style, including a wide bow sear and a large protruding bulbous bow. The superstructures concentrated in the center of the ship, including the bridge and chimney, are accurately reproduced. You can enjoy the profound atmosphere of Yamato. The No. 2 Type 1 radio probe and main mast on the upper part of the bridge are finished with delicate carvings. 45 caliber 46cm triple main turret with realistic waterproof cover at the base of the gun barrel. The completed turret is attached to the deck from above. Weapons such as 60 caliber 15.5cm triple secondary guns, 40 caliber 12.7cm twin high-angle guns, and 25mm twin machine guns have a sharp finish. The signal flag yard at the top of the bridge also faithfully reproduces the shape of each yard. The main gun turret, secondary gun turret, 15m rangefinder, and stern crane are still movable after completion. The rear flight deck walking zone is expressed with a sticker. The machine gun turret has also been reproduced at the stern. Two Type 0 water observation aircraft and two Type 0 water reconnaissance aircraft are available. Comes with 4 cutters. A display stand that can be easily fixed with screws to the separately sold 1/350 display case (with wooden pedestal) is also included.
