TAMIYA 1/35 Military Miniature Series German Heavy Tank King Tiger (Porsche Turret). TAMIYA169K Taiga Pol
[Product Introduction]
TAMIYA 1/35 Military Miniature Series German Heavy Tank King Tiger (Porsche Turret).
[Early production version of the King Tiger, Porsche turret mounted version]
The King Tiger appeared as Germany's last mass-produced heavy tank in 1944, near the end of World War II. The vehicle has heavy armor of 150mm on the front and 80mm on the sides, and is equipped with an 88mm gun that has the same caliber as the Tiger I but is even stronger. It was feared by the Allied forces for its powerful destructive power, which could shoot through 152mm armor plates at a distance of 2000m, and its strong defensive capabilities. The first 50 vehicles were equipped with a turret developed by Porsche, and were characterized by their curvaceous form. -In June 1944, the Porsche turret-equipped King Tiger was the first King Tiger unit to intercept the Allied forces that landed in Normandy. This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit of the King Tiger, a heavy tank of the German Army of World War II, equipped with a Porsche turret. The Porsche turret, which realistically reproduces the curved form with a total length of 296 mm and a total width of 108 mm, is molded in one piece for easy assembly. Differences from the mass-produced model are also accurately reproduced, such as the tapered gun barrel, explosive protection cover for the grille, and ventilator cover. Nylon mesh is used for the grill cover. The commander, loader, driver, and engine inspection hatches can be opened or closed. The tracks are belt type. There are 4 types of slide marks. Comes with 1 commander doll. Realistic reproduction of the heavy form equipped with a powerful 71 caliber 88m gun. (The sample in the photo is coated with Zimmerit putty) A Porsche turret featuring curved front armor. Each hatch can be opened or closed. The track is a belt type that is easy to assemble and can be glued and painted. The engine's explosive protection cover is reproduced with nylon mesh. A separately sold photo-etched grill set can also be attached to the engine grill.
