[Product Introduction]
TAMIYA 1/35 MM Series No.325 German heavy tank destroyer Elephant.
[The last fortress that shocked the Allied forces]
Long barrel 71 caliber 8.8cm gun that can destroy Soviet T34 tanks from a distance of more than 2000m, thick armor reaching up to 200mm, and engine power generation. Elephant is a German heavy tank destroyer equipped with an original running device called motor drive. Initially named Ferdinand after the name of its developer, Dr. Porsche, 90 tanks were completed by May 1943. In July of the same year, it was put into action for the first time in the Battle of Kursk, a fierce battle with the Soviet Army, and achieved the success of destroying over 500 Soviet tanks. After that, various modifications were made based on military training, such as adding an on-board machine gun and a cupola, and installing tracks to increase mobility, and in February 1944, the official name was changed to Elephant. Blessed with skilled crew and maintenance personnel, the Elephant demonstrated its offensive and defensive capabilities in defensive battles on the Italian and Eastern fronts. It continued to pose a threat to the Allied forces until the end of the war, including being used in the Battle of Berlin in April 1945. Total length 236mm, total width 97mm. Based on detailed research on actual vehicles, the unique style with a long-barreled 8.8cm gun in the fixed fighting compartment at the rear of the vehicle body has been realistically modeled. The large battle compartment is made into a three-dimensional piece using a slide mold. The long main gun, engine deck at the front of the vehicle, and complex suspension are realistically reproduced with easy-to-assemble parts. The track is a connected assembly type that advances the integration of parts. The natural slack creates a sense of weight. A set of 3 half-body figures of a tense commander, loader, and driver. Includes 3 types of decals such as the Italian Front and the Eastern Front. Based on detailed research conducted at the Aberdeen Tank Museum, the powerful and unique style has been thoroughly reproduced. The thick bolt-on armor is impressive. The half-length portrait of the driver looking ahead enhances the sense of realism in the vehicle. The natural sag unique to the interlocking assembly type track expresses the sense of weight. The tracks reproduce realistic details on the front and back. Combine the integrated straight line parts and the parts one frame at a time. A set of half-length portraits of the commander and loader in a tense pose looking ahead. The lower part of the car body and large battle compartment are made into one piece using a slide mold for ease of assembly. Comes with explanatory materials on the actual vehicle and a color painting diagram showing the camouflage paint pattern. You can use it for manufacturing and painting.
