TAMIYA 1/35 MM British anti-tank self-propelled gun Archer. TMM356 UK Achi released in December 2017
[Product introduction]
TAMIYA 1/35 MM British anti-tank self-propelled gun Archer.
[Tank Killer with a Reversed Idea]
In 1942, the British army began developing a self-propelled artillery Archer equipped with a 17-pound gun, which had performance comparable to the German army's 8.8cm gun. It was decided to modify an existing vehicle as a bridge until a full-fledged anti-tank vehicle was deployed, and the Valentine infantry tank was ultimately chosen. In order to mount a long main gun on a small body, the Valentine's body was extended and used front to back. The front half of the vehicle is used as a fighting compartment and the gun is mounted backwards. If high-velocity armor-piercing bullets are used, it can penetrate 192mm thick armor plates at a distance of approximately 900m, making it possible to destroy any German tank from a long distance. Production began in April 1944 and was deployed to anti-tank battalions in armored and infantry divisions. It was put into action for the first time in October of the same year, and played a major role as a trump card against German tanks.
[Model Information]
This is a plastic model assembly kit of the anti-tank self-propelled gun Archer. 1/35 scale, total length 191mm, total width 78mm. Based on careful research on actual vehicles, we have created a realistic model of the fearless figure with a long barrel main gun mounted on a low-slung body. The extended body is based on the Valentine, and even the welding patterns of the armor plate joints have been realistically reproduced. The main gun has a powerful form and delicate details such as the breech part. The interior of the open-top battle compartment has a variety of equipment such as a shell rack and an on-board machine gun, giving it a three-dimensional feel. The set includes 3 figures: a commander who indicates the target, a gunner who prepares to fire, and a loader who holds a cannonball. Includes two types of decals for vehicles belonging to the Canadian Army and British Army. Check out the model's unique structure with a 17-pounder mounted backwards and forwards. The interior of the open-top battle compartment is full of highlights, with a variety of equipment such as shell racks, cartridge holders, radios, and on-vehicle machine guns. Three dolls of crew members preparing to fire create a sense of urgency. The doll includes a commander who directs the target, a gunner who prepares to fire, and a loader who holds the shell. Late model road wheels and idler wheels highlight the delicate suspension. Reproduces the structure similar to the real thing, such as mounting the gun using a ball joint. The barrel can move up, down, left and right. The main gun has a powerful form and delicate details such as the breech part. The seat and levers around the driver's seat are also reproduced just like the actual car, and the meter panel is also made into parts.
