[About the actual Type 61 tank]
The Type 61 tank was adopted as a domestically produced post-war tank in April 1961, and was provided by the American military during World War II. - Deployment has progressed in place of used tanks from the Korean War. 560 vehicles were produced before and after the adoption of the Type 74 tank in 1974 (Showa 49), and it continued to be used as a front-line tank for a long time after that.
