A compact, lightweight telephoto zoom lens that's easy to carry. Covering a zoom range of 90mm-300mm (35mm equivalent), this compact telephoto zoom lens measures approximately 73mm in length and weighs approximately 200g. The use of UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) glass lenses and molded glass aspherical lenses ensures consistent image quality from the center to the edges of the frame. Equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (MEGA O.I.S.) for stable framing even when shooting handheld. The lens is equipped with built-in Optical Image Stabilization (MEGA O.I.S.), which detects and reduces camera shake. To enhance correction precision, a unique control algorithm processes the gyro sensor output at 4,000 times per second, accurately correcting even the slightest shake. This allows for handheld shooting even at telephoto settings. Unlike built-in image stabilization, the correction effect can be confirmed in the viewfinder or monitor, allowing you to capture the shot exactly as intended. A screw-integrated stepping motor is used in the drive system to achieve high-precision, high-speed contrast AF. The screw integrated with the motor shaft directly moves the focus lens without the use of intermediate gears or cams, resulting in precise, lossless, and quiet AF operation.
