Description (4,565 characters)
The Avante (2011) is a reproduction of this machine, a milestone in Tamiya RC history, which captivated RC fans with its high-performance mechanisms, lavish use of high-quality materials, and innovative style. The basic structure of this machine remains the same, but it has been improved to suit the modern RC scene.
The longitudinally mounted motor, shaft-driven 4WD chassis has been changed from an FRP double deck frame to a 2mm thick carbon upper and lower deck.
The rear damper stays are also made of 3.5mm thick carbon fiber for extra strength.
[Basic specifications] Overall length: 420mm, overall width: 240mm, overall height: 140mm, wheelbase: 260mm, drive system: longitudinal motor shaft drive full-time 4WD, motor: 540 type (25T), speed controller: ESC specification (sold separately)
The photo shows the kit assembled and painted.
[Items to be purchased separately (not included in the product)]
Finespec 2.4G electric RC drive set, 4 AA batteries for transmitter [A new legend begins!] In 1988, Tamiya's technology was fully poured into the Avante, an electric RC4WD racing buggy developed with the aim of participating in big races.
Carbon parts are used to increase strength and improve maintainability of the oil dampers. Furthermore, the hexagonal hub that secures the camlock wheels is a pin type, and an assembly universal shaft is used, ensuring compatibility of parts.
In addition, the packaging remains the same as it was back then.
Every aspect of the Avante (2011) has been improved, and a new legend is about to begin again.
[High-quality, race-oriented, longitudinally-mounted motor shaft-driven 4WD chassis] The longitudinally-mounted motor shaft-driven 4WD chassis has been changed from an FRP double-deck frame to a 2mm-thick carbon upper and lower deck.
The rear damper stays are also made of 3.5mm thick carbon fiber for extra strength.
The 4WD system is a three-differential configuration that employs ultra-compact planetary type differentials at the front and rear, and a ball differential in the center to protect the gears from strong impacts.
A total of 23 ball bearings are installed to thoroughly reduce drive loss.
In addition, three inspection hatches are installed on the front and rear gearboxes.
Gear maintenance can be performed without removing the gearbox from the vehicle.
The suspension is a four-wheel double wishbone type.
The metal threaded shaft and ball end suspension arm allow for precise and precise length adjustment.
The uprights are machined aluminum parts that have been made to be stronger while still maintaining the original shape.
The radius arm protectors and cam lock wheels that absorb sudden shocks and protect the arms are still there.
This high-performance chassis had a major influence on subsequent machines, and not only does it offer high performance but also plenty of mechanical fun.
