?Product Introduction?
This is the Fujimi 1/700 Ship NEXT Series No. 8 EX-201 Imperial Japanese Navy Aircraft Carrier Shinano Special Edition (with photo-etched parts). The Ship NEXT Series aircraft carrier Shinano now comes with photo-etched parts! The Shinano was planned as the third ship of the Yamato-class battleships but was changed to an aircraft carrier during construction. It was completed in November 1944 and sunk in the same month by a torpedo attack from a submarine. The product is designed as a snap-fit ??type that does not require glue. Major parts are represented by pre-colored plastic parts, and some colored parts are reproduced with realistic stickers that have excellent surface conformability. The flight deck is made of two pieces, divided into a concrete-floored deck section and an outer edge section, making it convenient for painting. The flight deck is a dark gray with a slightly bluish tint. The hull bottom part reproduces the bulge shape which differs from that of the Yamato. Two types of rudders are included: the conventional square rudder shape which is the same as that of the Yamato, and the square type equipped on the Taiho and other ships, to accommodate the new design. The aircraft included are the "Ohka," which is said to have been carried at the time, the "Shiden-kai," which underwent test landings, and the "Ryusei-kai" and "Saiun," which were planned to be carried. The included stickers mainly cover the anti-submarine camouflage on both sides and the white lines on the flight deck, allowing for color representation without painting. White line decals for the flight deck are also included for users who prefer to paint. The retractable antenna mast has a movable structure. "Horizontal binoculars" and "machine gun ammunition boxes" are included as bonus parts. Includes photo-etched parts that allow for detailed representation of parts that are difficult to reproduce with injection-molded parts. The photo-etched parts include handrails, ladders, gangways, Type 13 radar, windbreaks, elevators, cranes, chimney caps, airplane propellers, and more.
