Introducing the third installment in the #3776 Century Fuji Cloudscape series: "Kinugumo" (Silk Clouds)! Following the "Fuji Five Lakes Series (2011-2016)" created to commemorate the launch of Platinum Pen's flagship model, the #3776 Century, and the "Fuji Seasonal Scenery Series (2017-2021)" which expressed the seasonal scenery woven by Mt. Fuji on the body using skillful cutting techniques, the "Fuji Cloudscape" series was born as a new series in 2023. Inspired by the beautiful scenery created by the collaboration of Mt. Fuji and the clouds swimming around it, the "Fuji Cloudscape Series" debuted with the concept of expressing that image using various decorative methods. As the third installment, we are releasing "Kinugumo" (Silk Clouds). Silk clouds are expressed with light-ray engraving and V-blade engraving. Silk clouds generally refer to cirrus clouds, which are characterized by their thin, fine, fibrous or feather-like shape. The Fuji Cloudscape "Silk Clouds" series delicately and dynamically expresses the characteristics of silk clouds using two techniques: "ray engraving" and "V-blade engraving," which are used in metal decoration. By deliberately leaving some areas unengraved, the presence of clouds floating in the sky is felt more strongly, and this is what truly makes it a cloudscape. The pen body is transparent yet uses a pale blue-green with a slightly muted tone, inspired by the autumn air when silk clouds appear.
