A new model has been released that pays tribute to the "Laurel" design, the origin of Seiko's watchmaking, by using the same enamel dial as the original model and powering it with the Cal.
6R5H movement.

The indices feature Arabic numerals, which have long been loved for their nostalgic and iconic appearance, and the 12 o'clock index on the enamel model uses the beloved red color known as "Beni 12".

By adding a touch of red to the clean black and white composition, the design naturally draws the eye while brightening and tightening the overall impression.

The Arabic numerals retain the brushstroke-like variations in line thickness from the original model, the rounded top of the "2", and the accompanying text on the "4", giving the numbers a unique expression.

The hands are a deep blue.

It reveals different expressions depending on the viewing angle and how the light hits it, harmonizing beautifully with the soft texture of the enamel.

The dial features subtle irregularities, similar to those found in the original model, resulting in a uniform yet not monotonous sheen.

The appearance changes depending on how the light hits it, creating a gentle and warm white.

The case is a new design for craftsmanship, incorporating the design codes of the Classic series.

By making the edges of the case thin, the beauty of the dial is highlighted.

The watch features dual-curved sapphire glass, and the sides of the case are beveled to create a slim appearance when viewed from the side.

We aimed for a classic look by tapering the grooved finish at the top of the legs.

With a case diameter of 39.6mm, it has a moderate presence, yet its soft curves ensure comfort and a perfect fit on the wrist.

The strap is made of oil-tanned cowhide leather (LWG certified leather) that develops a richer character with use.

It features a supple texture and a lustrous sheen that seems to emanate from within, and is also highly durable.
