TT Tetsukore Gakunan Denshi ED Scheduled for release around September-October 2026 [Product Introduction] This is the Railway Collection Gakunan Railway ED40 type (ED403). The ED40 type is an electric locomotive that Matsumoto Electric Railway introduced two units of between 1965 and 1966, and was transferred to Gakunan Railway in 1971. It was used as the traction engine for Wam container freight trains transporting factory products in Fuji City, and was active until the discontinuation of freight transport in March 2012. Currently, both locomotives are preserved at the Gakutetsu Locomotive Plaza within the Gakunan Fujioka Station premises. This is the first time in 11 years that the ED40 type has been produced in the Railway Collection since the ED402 released in 2015. Enjoy it together with the JR freight car Wam 280000 type scheduled to be released by Tomix. (As of April 2026) *Display stand is not included. *Handrails are user-installed parts. *Due to mold limitations, some parts may differ from the actual vehicle. *By using a separately sold power unit and N gauge running parts, it can be operated as an N gauge model train.
