The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer "DD111 ?nami" makes a reappearance in the 1/700 Waterline Series.
The ?nami is the second ship of the Takanami-class general-purpose destroyer escort and entered service in 2003.It is an improved version of the Murasame-class destroyer escort, with various modifications including the adoption of 127mm guns as its main armament.
The hull shape is designed with stealth in mind, and the hull and superstructure are sloped.
A total of five ships of this class were built, and together with the preceding Murasame-class and the successor Akizuki-class, they play a major role in the destroyer fleet.
This kit is easy to build with a small number of parts and accurately reproduces the ?nami.
A new color-printed painting guide has been added.
- Includes a new color painting guide.
- Includes new decals to recreate the low-visibility specification.
