Based on the true story of journalist Akihiko Ito, who lived in Nagasaki and traveled throughout Japan documenting the testimonies of atomic bomb survivors, "The Man Who Carries the Voices of August" is a drama commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of the war, depicting encounters and memories brought about by the atomic bomb. It was broadcast on NHK in 2025 and received a great response, winning the 63rd Galaxy Award for Television and the 34th Hashida Award, among other accolades.
