The first-generation Honda City, which took the world by storm with its tall style and humorous commercials.

Since its introduction in 1981, the car has seen the addition of popular variations such as the Turbo and Turbo II every year, but the open-body Cabriolet was introduced in 1984.

Riding the global trend of the resurgence of convertibles, this marks the first domestically produced convertible model to appear in 14 years.

Prioritizing safety, the B-pillar area retained a roll bar, and the car's comical appearance, based on the Turbo II's wide-fender body, along with its catchy advertising slogans like "Sunlight as standard equipment" and "Take it off, paradise", made it a truly Honda-esque vehicle that generated a lot of buzz.

New specifications for the City Cabriolet are now available.

Just like the real car, please pay attention to the details such as the roll bar remaining near the pillars and the representation of the fully open side windows.

It's a rare four-seater open-top car for a Japanese vehicle, and the interior, which is easily visible, has been reproduced as accurately as possible.

The actual car was available in 12 body colors, but this time we've chosen a warm orange, and the CABRIOLET decal on the side has also been reproduced with printing.

Let's travel back in time to the summer 40 years ago.
