◆Product Introduction◇
◆The masterpiece of side-scrolling shooting games, "R-TYPE III," evolves to a new dimension with the latest technology! "R-TYPE III THE THIRD LIGHTNING," released by Irem in 1993, has been completely remade with 3D graphics and rearranged sound sources! The masterpiece of side-scrolling shooting games, billed as a "high-density tactical-level violent shooting game," has evolved to a new dimension with modern technology. Having suffered a fatal blow in the long war against the Bydo, humanity decides on a final battle against the Bydo's core. The Third Bydo Mission, Operation Code "THE THIRD LIGHTNING" is activated. The R-9™, the latest R-fighter jet that brings together all of humanity's technology, is launched into the enemy's core via a spatial transfer cannon and plunges into the fierce battlefield. R-TYPE III, the third installment in the series, is significantly more powerful than its predecessors. The series' iconic Force system now features three types: Round, Shadow, and Cyclone, along with nine types of lasers, and the Wave Cannon has been greatly enhanced with the Mega Wave Cannon and Hyper Drive Mode. Combining tactical depth and exhilarating gameplay, it boasts one of the highest levels of polish in the series. In this game, you can seamlessly switch between 2D and 3D visuals with the touch of a button. Furthermore, a new two-player mode, not present in the original, has been added, allowing you to cooperate and take on the Bydo. In addition, while the original was known for its high difficulty due to its lives system and instant respawning, a new "Infinity Mode" has been added. With unlimited lives and instant respawning, even newcomers to the series can fully enjoy the game's appeal. A classic masterpiece is reborn for modern players. Experience the evolved battles of 'R-Type'.
