Topwater Jig Minnow
■A small, sinking type that allows for long casting distances, yet it rises rapidly to the surface with just a retrieve, emitting a subtle but sweet continuous popping sound, and transforms into a topwater plug that paints a seductive trail on the water's surface as if enveloped in bubbles. Its extremely slender body has an appeal that is far beyond what you would expect, and it is especially effective for targeting boils day and night, sometimes exhibiting a power that leaves no other lure at bay. ■A new genre created by Posidrive Garage, a new proposal called "Topwater Jig Minnow," which is hard to imagine from its appearance. Its power is not limited to sea bass, but has also become popular for small bluefin tuna and, especially in the West Japan area, for topwater fishing for black sea bream.
