Shipping Estimate: 1-3 days before release CD Single Kayokyoku Publisher: Victor Entertainment Newtopi Edition Okayu, the singer-songwriter who has honed her singing voice in a street style with a guitar in hand, loves kayokyoku, and has sung and woven various "forms of love," has released a new song! The new song "Sayonara Uso" (Goodbye Lie) depicts a woman who chooses to say goodbye to the various "lies" that any woman who is about to stumble in the pursuit of love would fall into, and to pretending to be someone she's not, putting on a brave face, and feigning competence. It's a passionate and dramatic "kayokyoku" (Japanese popular song) in Okayu's style, which is her forte, as she grasps the subtle nuances of a woman's heart! The other A-side track on the single, "Ai no Michikusa" (Detour of Love), is the theme song for the first starring film of Nobuyuki Hanawa of the comedy duo "Knights"! It's a gem of a mood song, sung as a duet by Nobuyuki Hanawa and Okayu. Okayu herself also appears in the film as "Mama Mitsuko," the owner of the snack bar where the protagonist and other firefighters played by Nobuyuki Hanawa gather, so not only do they act together in the film, but they also collaborate on the theme song as a duet!
