Product Introduction A legendary album by the band Carole King was a member of, now available on vinyl for the first time in Japan. TOWER VINYL presents: Masterpieces You Want to Hear on Vinyl - First Release. This is the only album by "City," the band Carole King formed before her debut as a solo artist. Released in 1968, it received high praise, but due to Carole's own policy of not promoting it and a change in the label's distributor after its release, it did not become a major hit. Until its first CD release in the 1990s, it was talked about as a legendary album, and the analog record remains famous as a rare item. This release marks its first release on vinyl in Japan. The members were Carole, Charles Larkey (bass), and Danny Kortchmar (guitar). The idea of the two backing Carole came about during a jam session at Carole's home, and after consulting with producer Lou Adler, they decided to record it. The album features the participation of masterful drummer Jim Gordon, whose tight playing is another major draw. The intimate sound reflects the band's atmosphere, and Kortchmar later commented that "the seeds of the timeless masterpiece 'Tapestry' were sown here."
