A story of a giant film camera and a little girl
The analog camera fan work that has received a huge response on social media is finally being serialized! "Sasamekikoto" and "34-year-old Unemployed Man" by Ikeda Takashi break new ground in this camera-girl manga! ***********************Masami Yuki (Ultimate Superman A~ru/Shinkuro, Run!) is highly recommended! The smell of the darkroom is brought back to life! We want to celebrate the birth of a serious photo manga in the 21st century that is different from some unorthodox manga! ***********************Spring, April
Maeno Mamiko, a first-year junior high school student, is unable to adapt to her new environment, does not join any clubs, and is already exhausted after just one week of school.
When her mother tells her to go to a cram school if she doesn't know what she wants to do, Mamiko remembers her days with her late grandfather, who loved photography, and declares that she will take proper photos with a proper camera.
The memento from her grandfather that Mamiko received from her grandmother was a "monstrously large Pentax," commonly known as the "Bakepen"! "It's big, heavy, and difficult to use, but the feeling I get when I move it, the response, the sensation, is interesting, and it's kind of fun." The little girl, who couldn't even attend classes and tended to be left alone, becomes fascinated by the big, old film camera, and her world begins to expand...
[Recommended by our editors] A huge old film camera, commonly known as the "Bakepen," weighs over 2kg including the lens.
This is the story of Mamiko, a small, lonely girl whose world expands with the help of her grandfather's keepsake.
In addition to the Bakepen, other famous cameras and equipment from the past will also be on display, allowing you to learn about the history of cameras! Read more
